| Fitting Radiator |
| I brought a radiator (£75) from Watsons when I got the subframe kit, I have since found out that this is a single core standard civic radiator that is barely up to the job (runs hot when driven hard or in traffic), the VTI civic uses a twin core radiator. I thought this rad would fit straight in but it requires modifications to the top of the subframe so that it sits lower or it hits the bonnet. This radiator also has 28mm diameter outlets were as the VTEC engine has 32mm fittings so something will need to be sorted to mate them up. |
Subframe modified to allow the rad to sit lower, marked areas have been ground away. |
Radiator sitting in place - mountings still to be made. |

Subframe mountings for radiator. |
Not very clear but just visible the bits that have been cut off the rad so that it will fit. |

Radiator in place with the first fit of the cowling. |
Hopefully the cowling will force the air through the rad. |

Here's the rad with 10" electric fan fitted. |
Here the bottom hose is in place, bracket is needed to keep the hose away from the clutch arm. |

Hose adapters - mini heater rad hoses are 12mm internal diameter, honda heater pipes are 16mm. |
Top and bottom hoses fitted. |
