Mamma Mia

The delirious sight of Meryl Streep leading a river of multigenerational women singing "Dancing Queen" is one of the high points of Mamma Mia! , the musical built around the songs of the hugely popular pop group ABBA.

Kung fu panda

What's a panda to do when his dreams of kung-fu awesomeness awake to the cold reality of noodle-making? Clumsy, overweight Po dreams of becoming a kung fu master like China's revered "furious five," but instead seems destined to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in the restaurant business.

High School Musical 3

I took my 7 year old to see HSM3 today and not only did she love it but so did I and I am her 37 year old father! Wonderful songs, fantastic dance routines, comedy and romance.

See No Evil Hear No Evil

I really enjoyed this movie, perhaps more than I would have if I knew anything about it before buying.
The main plot is based around two characters, who both have disabilites. The one character is blind, the other deaf. In turn, this sets up for some hilarious events to unfold.
As I said, this film is based purely around these two. The story kicks off with a murder in a shop of which the two main characters work in. A woman shoots a man. The two of them are seemingly from a company of organised crime. You would think that the woman wouldn't get away with it seeing as how it happened in front of two people... There is just one problem... The deaf man didn't hear it and the blind man didn't see it. This means that the two are suspects.
The two end up going to prison (the scenes here are laugh-out-loud funny) and then them trying to escape.

I urge you to give this movie a try, I'm sure you'll very much enjoy it!

Ice Age

It's 20,000 years ago and there's a bit of a nip in the air as the Ice Age kicks off. Manfred the well-meaning mammoth, Sid the fast-talking sloth and Diego the duplicitous sabre-tooth tiger form a reluctant and unlikely alliance when they come across a helpless human baby. As they try to return the tot to his migrating tribe, the trio must battle more than just the elements in this harsh world of predators and prey. There's plenty of light relief from the dramatic tension and superb action sequences, notably in the form of the brilliant comic invention Scrat, an apparently insane sabre-tooth squirrel who steals any scene in which he--and his acorn—appear.

Ice Age 2 : The Meltdown

As far as the story goes, Manny the wooly mammoth, Diego the saber-tooth tiger, and Sid the sloth have to lead all of their Arctic friends to safety when their icebound home is threatened by meltdown-generated flooding (thankfully, without the story goose-stepping to today's environmentalist wacko hysteria). Along the way, they pick up Ellie and her two opossum brothers. It takes most of the journey for Manny to convince Ellie that she is not actually a wooly mammouth. The gang face all sorts of dangers they must overcome if they are to survive. On paper, it's all pretty formulaic, but the winsome depth of the characters and of course the extraordinary animation makes for a consistently funny, exciting adventure.
